I was at my mom's house the other day and decided it was time to just hang out and piddle around with her sewing machine. There are lots of you creative geniuses out there who drive me nuts with your sewing capabilities, and I have been very anxious to "try" and sew on paper like many of you do. I took home ec like 20 years ago and I don't recall anything about sewing other than it was extremely frustrating...needles breaking, string tangling up like crazy, sewing hideous darts and zippers. No thanks!
Now onto the really good stuff! I have a dear friend, Ms. Lindsi who is extremely creative and rather new to the blogging world. I encouraged her to start a blog awhile back and she took the plunge! Won't you stop by her amazing blog and show her some love? Let's welcome her to this crazy blogging world we all live in! :) When you are there, be sure to check out her gorgeous Valentine's canvases...Valentine's canvases...she is giving away TWO of them! Lindsi's blog is ELEVEN83 Designs.
That's all I have for now. Stay tuned on Saturday, as we reveal the newest theme over at Paper Issues!

hi Amy! I'm so excited that you'll be sewing on your projects!!! I love to sew and think stitching adds lots of charm. Checked out Lindsi's...her blog does not look new at all! :)
Soooooooooooo excited you are gonna be sewing!!!! I love doing it!!! :):):):):):):):):):):)
Oh yeah, you are way too talented to let that machine get one over on ya! I'm glad you are conquering it! I can't wait to see what you will create!
Ooh, Amy, you are going to be hooked now! I am completely addicted to sewing on paper. As a matter of fact, my daughter originally thought that sewing machines were meant for paper, as that's all the ever saw me sewing on mine. I still remember the day she caught me doing some little mending job on fabric.....:)
I'm pleased to tell you that i ain't one of those people who can sew. LOL. Every time I do it, I endure ridicules from my dad, lol, and yet i can't convince him to just do it FOR ME! ugh! lol
My sewing teacher in High School told me (in the sweetest way possible) that sewing just "isn't going to be your thing" hahha! And boy was she right! I can't even thread the bobbin (if that is even what it is called :)
